Sponsorships are great ways to highlight and promote your business throughout the year. Becoming an Elite Partner provides the best bang for your promotion buck and is also a great way to support the work your chamber is doing for our business community. Here are the details on some of our sponsorship opportunities:
- Monthly Breakfast Meeting: Held 11 months throughout the year at 7:30 am on the second Tuesday of each month (except February) at Doko Manor in Blythewood’s Doko Meadows Park with the doors opening at 7:00 am for networking with fellow members and guests while enjoying breakfast offerings catered by one of our member businesses. Breakfast sponsors are welcome to set up a marketing table in our registration area and will be recognized at the beginning of the meeting for a brief presentation. Following this new members and guests are introduced followed by reports of recent and upcoming activities of note by your Chamber as well as those of the Town of Blythewood and other local civic organizations. 4 of these breakfast meetings are dedicated to an “open forum” or “panel discussion” format for interactive conversation relating to local topics of current interest. The remaining 7 meetings feature guest speakers offering insight into broader subject areas of interest. Breakfast sponsors are also recognized in all marketing material including a link to the sponsor web page on our web site and in emails. Your investment for this sponsorship is only $350.00.
- Blythewood After Five: Member companies are encouraged host an after-hours networking event entitled “Blythewood After Five”. These are events are in recognition of grand opening, relocation, refurbishment “ribbon cuttings” by our Mayor and/or other local dignitaries or for other special events with local media coverage. The host provides the venue and refreshments and the chamber handles the promotion. These are usually held on weekdays from 5:30-7:00 pm but can be flexible to meet the needs of the host.
- Downtown Merchants Committee: Our quarterly forum on the 3rd Wednesday afternoon of January, April, July of local business owners, held at various local venues, presents an opportunity for discussion and input among our local merchants relative to activities, needs, and plans vital to the economic benefit of our community and to these “lifeblood of our Community” members representing the core of Blythewood. Sponsors will be recognized at each of these gatherings as well as recognized in the marketing material on our web site and in emails. Sponsorship for this event is only $150.00.
- Industry Partners Committee: Also held at various local member venues is this opportunity for the leaders vital segment of the Blythewood economic community to gather and address those factors impacting their abilities for sustainability and growth in the broader market as well as that of partnering with the local economy. This forum also meets quarterly, on the 3rd Thursday of February. May, August and November. Event sponsorship at $150 will be recognized in the marketing of this meeting on our website and in emails as well as recognition at the event.

Annual Awards Gala Banquet: A wonderful evening of gourmet food, beverages, music, and dancing held on the 1st Saturday of February at The Farm at Ridgeway. Chamber Award winners in the categories of Business Person of the Year, Small business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, and Community Service are recognized and honored for their contribution to our community in this annual themed event filled with camraderie, revelry, and networking. Individual or couples tickets are available along with several sponsorship packages.
Doko Rib Fest Cook Off in the Park: Our inaugural “Rib Fest” on March 14, 2020, proved to be a huge success with 41 teams of competitors for cash prizes in professional. amateur, and veterans divisions. With more than 2,000 guests in Doko Meadows Park 2,800 pounds of ribs available sold out in one and one half hours. In 2021, with 61 competitive teams, over 4,000 guests consumed 6,000 pounds of ribs in an equally record amount of time. According to some, this event is becoming possibly the premiere barbecue event in SC and we are expanding to a 2 day format (Friday evening and Saturday daytime) on the 2nd weekend in March. A full variety of food trucks, food, beverage, activity and local non-profit vendor offerings, along with multiple musical acts performing on the Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union Amphitheater stage are featured on both days of this fun-filled family oriented weekend of activities. Ribs – Beer – Music – Fun – who could ask for anyting more. Tickets for sample rib tastings of each of the competition teams, a full rack of ribs, or rib plates are available for pre-sale or for on-site purchase on the day of the event until sold out. Multiple levels of sponsorship opportunities are available in support of this event. This event supports the Chamber’s mission and annual scholarship programs and a portion of the net proceeds are also donated to deserving non-profit charities. FREE ADMISSION !
Par 3 Palooza Golf Tournament – Held at Cobblestone Park the first week in May this annual tournament features all 18 holes converted to a par 3 format giving everyone a chance to win. This event also includes, lunch, dinner, player gifts, putting contest, party holes and amazing raffle items. Networking and camaraderie are the order of this fun-filled day on the links with LOADS OF FUN. Sponsorship opportunities are available in many categories supporting this long standing fund-raising event.
Blythewood Oktoberfest – This cultural event in the tradition of this classic Bavarian Festival is held the first weekend in October at Doko Meadows Park. Featuring a full complement of local food trucks, food, beverage, activity and non-profit vendor offerings along with a variety of live musical perfomances on both Friday evening and Saturday, also included are the traditional German favorites of Biergartens with authentic German beer, German foods and specialties, Oompah music, a traditional German Volksmarch, and Alm Abtrieb (Alpine style) Cow Patty Bingo (with cash prizes) ! Another fun-filled production supporting your Chamber, now entering our 3rd year, this event has also proven to provide addidional economic benefit to our community by attracting thousands of guests to Blythewood.
