Cameron Wormack Awarded Chamber Scholarship

Thanks to all those who contributed Happy Dollars and purchased Blythewood Chamber tumblers at our breakfasts. Read below and you will see that your money has been well spent!

Cameron Wormack, from Westwood High School is the 2017 recipient of our $1,000 Business Scholarship award.  Cameron plans to attend the University of South Carolina this fall, and major in International Business.  He has taken all AP-level classes during his senior year, maintaining a 4.625 GPA, all while playing varsity basketball, working for South Carolina Electric and Gas, and volunteering his time at Wellsprings Family Medicine, Special Olympics (Bowling), and Real Men Read Across America.  Cameron also served as a peer mentor, tutoring younger students in math.  We would like to thank all of our applicants for this year’s scholarship award and wish all of them the very best!

Cameron will be presented his award at the Blythewood Chamber’s monthly breakfast meeting at Fairfield Electric CoOp, 701 Blythewood Rd., which begins at 7:00am on Tuesday, June 13th.  To register, please click here.
